I had a physiology class last semester. the prof. told us that your muscles need at least 24 sometimes 48hours to rebuild after lifting. muscles break down during lifting and rebuild bigger during rest. if you lift too close together, they just break down. you would be doing more harm than good.

the key to progressing in any work out is to switch things up. if you are doing the same exercise every day and working the same muscle groups your body will get use to it and you will stop seeing any improvements. for example...there are three muscles just in your shoulder. lifting at work probably isn't targeting all three muscles. same with the rest of your body. don't know if that helps at all...

Just try it and you decide, we can't really help. Just keep eating what you do now.

It depends on how you go about it, safety rules, etc. You need to do a study on the subject. It sounds like it. They have great magazines on the subject. Try the library for magazines, books, etc. Ask for help there.
Your body will love you for strengthening it for a job that you really need muscles for which will help to ensure that you don't hurt or strain anything.
What you eat is extremely important also. You can enjoy a whole lot more to eat when you have muscles. You'll learn why when you study up on it.
It is a real science. Don't attempt to do much until you know some basic info about it. Again, those magazines are fascinating!

Absolutely it depends on your body conditions. As long as you do not put much burden on your body ,it 's acceptable. You are supposed to do any built up in the name of healthiness.

You can do that, but you don't want to overload yourself either. I f anything It'll be good for you, it will help with endurance. You probably will need to give yourself more break time between workouts to let the muscles heal...if not you won't grow at all. Make sure you eat enough so you have energy and stay hydrated. Also stretch well and often.
