if you want a good bench, you need to lengthen your reps out to allow your chest time to activate, if you allow your triceps to throw it into the air, you miss activating your pectorals and put all the weight on your shoulders, entirely skipping working you pecs. not a good idea. Lazy Pecs=small chest
As far as a distraction during a work out, you could try music that calms you, counting the length in seconds of your reps, thinkin about your girlfriend, ….. after that its more of a personal thing, what can distract you so that you’re thinking of one thing and automating your workout.
uhh this is kinda of a weird question but the only way i can think of u being explosive on ur bench is put ur ring ringer on the bar part of teh bar where u line up ur hand , make sure when it comes down it hits on or just below the nipple, and ease ur way down then ur all your forcee once it hits ur chect and imagine it liek a explosive bench press dont think about how much weights on it because thas when people always fail
