How Often Should I Lift Weights?

I heard that if you wanted to gain muscle that i shouldn’t work out the same muscles everyday. So if i work out on my heavy bag 3 times a week, how often should I lift weights?

    if your hitting the bag 3 times a week u dnt want too much days on weights as it leaves ur muscles sore for 1-2 days. I think 3 days a week should be fine, 2 major muscles per day

    When you lift, dont do it so often nor lift too heavy. A lot of muscle isn’t so good in Boxing if thats what you want to become muscular for, especially if you are a smaller weight. Like if told many others, boxing is not about being strong, having that knock out punch, or a big impenetrable body…leave that for the ufc. If you are too big, good boxers will be able to out last you stamina wise and also out-speed you. Last thing you want are big bulky arms that take all your strength when you throw a punch.

    You should mix it up but do it in you own way. If you are on the same plan for a while dont let anyone try to change it.. You should lift weights just about every day id you want to get big but if its just for exercise every other day.

    4 times a week
    heres a routine
    monday-chest, triceps
    tuesdday – legs
    wednesday-off
    thursday-biceps and lats
    friday-off
    saturday-shoulders and traps
