Is It Alright To Do Ab Exercises Every Second Day, And Lift Weights Every Fourth Day?

Is this a decent schedule?
Keeping in mind that I am, of course, exercising other muscle groups, but I’m not concerned about that.
Is this enough rest in-between workouts, though?
When I lift weights, I lift a weight that I can only do about 8 reps of, and have 5-6 sets.

    its ok if the muscle group you are working is not sore from the last workout.
