When Should I Take My Protein Shake If I Want To Jog And Then Work Out?

I wanna jog for a few minutes and then work out, jog to lose body fat and work out to build muscle, and i’m taking protein shakes to help build muscle…so should I take the protein shake 1 hour before jogging and working out? or should I jog first, rest for a few minutes and then take the protein shake 1 hour before working out?

If you’re trying to build any type of mass, then weight lifting and cardio conflict eachother. When trying to build mass, your body NEEDS a surplus of calories, to replenish and build musclar tissue. Doing cardio burns away those precious calories your body needs. That’s why weight lifters/power lifters/bodybuilders have a ‘bulking season’ where they train HARD and eat like animals, and a ‘cutting season’ where they eat less, but still surging on protein to maintain muscle mass, and then do cardio to cut fat that they’ve gained from bulking.
EDIT: IDK why Maria has a thumbs down, shes right. Drinking it before the run will just give you cramps, and upset your stomach.

You should drink the protein within 30 minutes after you workout not before.
